This mod pack comprises four on-court broadcast presentation styles, one for each historic era in the game's MyNBA Eras mode. (Note that the Steph Era is not included, since it uses 2K's modern presentation.)
The four presentation styles, which are branded according to the NBA's primary broadcast partner within the given era, are as follows:
- NBA on CBS, ~1984 style (for the Magic vs Bird Era)
- NBA on NBC, ~1993 style (for the Jordan Era)
- NBA on ABC / ESPN, ~2004 style (for the Kobe Era)
- NBA on ESPN, ~2010 style (for the LeBron Era)
How to install this mod:
Open the folder titled "01 - REQUIRED - Main Installation" and drag the enclosed "mods" folder into your main game directory (../NBA 2K26/).
That's it. There is no need for any switching of mods in and out. All four historic presentation styles will be fully functional at all times, with a few caveats:
(1) For those who play NBA 2K in English, there is an optional version of english.iff that replaces the term 'Quarter' with 'Period'. This is included in case users want to swap this version in specifically for use in the Magic vs Bird Era. To use, open the folder titled "02 - OPTIONAL - Change Quarter to Period", then drag the enclosed "mods" folder into your main game directory (../NBA 2K26/). To switch back, reinstall from the 'Main Installation' folder. Note that any switching of the game text requires a reboot of NBA 2K26 in order to see the changes.
(2) Some aspects of modern presentation were altered in order to allow for all four historic styles to fit into a single install. Most notably, some modern broadcast transitions have been replaced with more era-neutral transitions, and the modern, bottom-of-screen news ticker has been disabled (since I needed to repurpose its pop-up slot for one of the eras scoreboards). The current mod pack would need to be disabled in order to restore the original ticker and transitions, if desired.
(3) If you are using a custom modern presentation by another creator, it may interfere with the simultaneous functioning of all four historic eras in the present mod pack. This is because it is a common modding strategy to repurpose assets from one era for use in another, and I have no control over how other modders build out their work, which may conflict with mine. You may need to do some toggling / switching in/out in such cases.
I've added this and the scoreboard looks different but not as pictured. Also dance cam is stuck in the middle of the screen.
